PLOT
While investigating a car theft ring, Axel Foley stumbles upon a much larger operation: the same men who killed his boss are running a counterfeit money ring out of a theme park in Los Angeles.
REVIEW
*Beverly Hills Cop III* attempts to reproduce the charm of the earlier films, but falls short in various ways. Compared to the first and second films, this chapter falls short, making it the franchise's poorest entry. While it begins with explosive action, it quickly deteriorates. Eddie Murphy's portrayal is more serious, which means fewer jokes and less energy than in prior films. The humor feels inconsistent, and the plot lacks the sharpness and cohesion of previous installments. This time, the plot is less compelling, with predictable twists. It follows Axel Foley's investigation into his boss's death against the backdrop of an amusement park. Overall, the picture lacks the charm of its predecessors.
