Plot

Review

A single-location setting and documentary style immerses viewers in the live broadcast experience. I also like the use of different aspect ratios (4:3 for the TV episode and black and white for backstage scenes) .The film doesn't rely on jump scares but instead builds a creepy atmosphere through themes of satanic and demonic possession. Comedy elements are presented throughout enhancing a live TV show feel.Performance are great. It is good to see David Dastmalchian in a leading role.Ingrid Torelli's performance as Lilly, the possessed teenager, is particularly chilling just by smiling at the camera.

Despite the film's unique storytelling and atmospheric build-up, some may find the ending unsatisfying as it leaves much to interpretation, aiming to install fear by letting the audience draw their own conclusions.

My Screen Times Score - 7
