Review
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is the fifth installment in the Ghostbusters franchise and a sequel to "Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
The backstory and motive of the villain are well-explained and interesting. This adds depth to the narrative. The movie mixes comedy and horror really well.It is also good to see old Ghostbusters. They are here for more than just a nostalgic purpose. The film expands on the Ghostbusters universe, showcasing more gadgets, ghosts, and even the methods of storing captured ghosts.
I really don't mind the family drama but the film crams too many characters and subplots into a two-hour runtime which doesn't work really well for me. Despite the abundance of new gadgets and ghosts, there are relatively few ghost-busting scenes. The ghost-busting sequences don't quite capture the same excitement for me as in previous movies.
My Screen Times Score - 6
