The Killer's Game (2024) Review

Genre: Action, Comedy Runtime: 1 hour 43 minutes Rating: R What’s the story about? Joe Flood, the top hitman in Europe, is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Deciding to go out on his own terms, he hires assassins to kill him. Things get complicated when the hitmen he hires also target his ex-girlfriend. Review Dave Bautista stars as Joe Flood, the world’s best assassin, who is very good at what he does. During one mission, he meets a dancer named Maize (Sofia Boutella). Chaos breaks out in a theater, and Maize gets knocked down in the crowd. Joe helps her, and she thanks him by giving him her number and offering to take him to dinner. Their chemistry is believable, and it’s fun to see Bautista play a more romantic side of his character. Even though Joe is an assassin, he only kills criminals, never innocent people. His boss and mentor, Zvi (Ben Kingsley), is another standout in the film, and Sofia Boutella is great as Joe’s supportive and understanding girlfriend. Joe has been sufferi

Harold and the Purple Crayon (2024) Review

PLOT What’s the story is about? This film is based on the 1955 children’s book by Crockett Johnson. The movie follows a boy named Harold who can draw anything he wants with his purple crayon inside his own book, making anything possible. Harold draws friends named Moose and Porcupine, and they become best friends. One day, Harold wonders who drew him, since they all live in a 2D world. A narrator's voice explains that he drew Harold and he lives in a 3D world. When the narrator's voice disappears, Harold decides to explore the real world and find out what happened to his creator.  REVIEW When Harold enters the real world, he turns into a human, and his friends follow him and they transform too. Zachary Levi plays Harold, and his performance is similar to his previous role as Shazam—he’s a grown man but a child spirit inside. Since they are from a children’s book, they know very little about how the real world works. Their charming performances are enjoyable. They soon realiz

Terminator Zero Review

The Terminator franchise began with James Cameron's 1984, the Terminator, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and was a huge hit in the action and science-fiction genres. After almost six years, the sequel, Terminator 2 (1991), was released, and it was even more successful than the original. After the first two films, the franchise went downhill. Now Netflix has now picked up this franchise, this time as an anime adaptation with eight episodes. Positive This time, the story is set in Japan in 1997, offering a fresh take by moving away from John Connor and Arnold's Terminator. The show only briefly references the other movies with a short bit of the iconic Terminator theme but stays separate from the rest of the series. ‌The Terminator films always included time travel, but the franchise hasn't dug further into how time travel works in this reality, something the films haven't thoroughly explored. But this show explains how time travel works in this universe , which a
